KAPUTT Scarabaeus Green necklace with Swarovski crystals, an elegantly geometric jewel with a pendant from the Kaputt collection.
The Kaputt collection was designed for Swarovski by Jean Paul Gaultier together with the Scarabaeus Green chromatic effect.
For this range, the designer had in mind the expressive potential of a crystal with an exclusive cut, the kaputt.
The stylist explains that “The German word kaputt means ‘broken’ and in this case refers to the multiple facets of this stone, which seems as if it’s damaged”.
After seeing the perfection of the crystals Swarovski creates, Gaultier tried scratching and shattering them to achieve the perfect imperfection that has always been an inspiration for his fashions.
With the look of meteorite fragments and featuring eye-catching intaglios and chiaroscuro effects, these asymmetric beads are also partially satinised.
Each pendant bears a laser-etched Jean Paul Gaultier logo.
